The truth revealed

We here at Wingstock 2008 HQ are pleased to reveal compelling new evidence that will solve the controversy that has hounded certain Wingstock attendees for years. In June 2006, Matt and Joel were engaged in a epic gunwale-bobbing battle during Joel's bachelor-party-camping-trip. Now, Joel might have been blinded by pre-wedding euphoria, but his claims of victory can finally be put to sleep thanks to our new-found evidence. As can be seen from this photograph, while Matt is clearly going to hit the water first, Joel is breaking Rule #1 of gunwale-bobbing: do not grab the gunwales. As such, Joel is disqualified and Matt is the clear winner.

You may be curious as to the relevance to Wingstock. Well...in a recent conversation, Joel threw down the gauntlet and claimed "I will destroy anyone and everyone at any game staged during Wingstock." Well Joel, to that we say "destroy away," but just play by the rules man.

First of all, I take offense to the notion that this attempt was in any way "sad." The evidence is clear and compelling, Joel. And it is presented in a way that is quite professional, may I add. This is not sad. Sad, however, is your lack of acceptance that cheaters never prosper and you will go down when the Wingstock games begin!

Finally, vindication… While gunwale-bobbing is technically still a viable option for Wingstock it’s probably best that we shift the activity to something I don’t dominate in. Unfortunately for Fairlie, having a shutterbug Bradley around hampers his attempts at cheating and, by extension, his chances of winning anything.

what the hell did i do to deserve this bashing. i guess the years of losing in everything from american 21 to hockey golf really has taken a toll on you guys. i tried to be graceful and dignified over the years during my reign of dominance in the Dufferin Sports League (DSL). i truly apologize if I have done any irreparable harm, but I serve notice…there will be no sympathy come june 20th…
